Announcement from the British Baseball Federation

The British Baseball Community is united in offering our condolences to the whole Royal Family at this time of national mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

In line with the guidelines released from the Cabinet Office this morning, the British Baseball Federation Playoff games will take place this weekend as planned.

As a mark of respect for her extraordinary contribution to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, a one-minute silence will be held before each game, and if and when possible straight after the silence, the national anthem will be played without singing or words.

All participants will be invited to display their respects to the Queen through the wearing of black armbands.
