BBF and The 108 agree partnership for National Championships

The British Baseball Federation (BBF) and The 108, Europe's largest indoor baseball & softball centre have agreed a partnership that will benefit the 2024 BBF national champions at all levels.

The 108 have also agreed to support the Over 45s tournament which takes place on Sunday 13th October at Farnham Park.

“We are delighted to be able to work with the team at The 108 to provide these opportunities for the top teams in 2024 and would like to thank them for their generosity in supporting British baseball,” said Chris Deacon, the BBF President. “It is a fantastic facility which can only help the development of the game here.”

“Having been part of the British baseball, both as coaches and players, it’s very important that we find ways to support the BBF tournaments and leagues, so we’re excited that our partnership with the BBF will enable players to experience The 108 by both preparing for their games and celebrating their success.” said The 108’s Co-Managing Director, Michael Wakelam. “The live draft for the Over 45s Tournament will be a great opportunity for players to get together for the excitement that always goes with such an event.”

As part of the agreement, the winners of the National Baseball League, AAA, AA, A divisions and the Women’s Baseball League will each receive a two hour batting cage session at The 108 as a prize.

In addition, all the teams taking part in the BBF Youth National Baseball Championships (YNBCs) in September will receive a 90 minute training session at The 108 before the championship weekends.

With the return of the Over 45s tournament, The 108 will be holding a live draft on Sunday 29th September at the venue for players who wish to take part.

Those attending will have access to the cages from 3.00pm until 5.00pm before the draft starts at 6.00pm.

The 108 features a full size adult infield, four state of the art HitTrax enabled batting cages and two bullpens. There is also a great range of refreshments available at the facility in Brent Terrace, Brent Cross in London
