NATIONAL BASEBALL LEAGUE PLAYOFFS HIT FARNHAM PARK
The BBF National Baseball League playoffs return to Farnham Park this Sunday with the two semi-finals being contested by the top four teams from the regular season.
The first game between Essex Arrows and the London Capitals starts at 11.30.
The Arrows finished second in the league winning 20 games and losing just five. The London Capitals, who were last year’s runners-up won 13 of their 22 games.
Defending champions and BBF Summer Cup holders, the London Mets will take on the Sheffield Bruins at 3.00pm.
The Mets lost just three games on their way to the top of the league and although the Bruins finished with a losing record, the team has enough talent to overcome the odds.
The winners of each semi-final will play a best of three series to decide the national champions the following weekend.
“The NBL has been tightly contested all season and its impossible to pick a winner,” said Chris Carter, the BBF Senior Leagues Official. “Spectators will be able to watch some of the best baseball this country has to offer on both weekends.”
There is no entry fee and parking is free.
