Capturing the best of British baseball
British baseball has so many talented photographers, we are launching a BBF British Baseball Photographer and Photograph of the Year competition.
The competition will include the following
Photograph of the week (candid or action)
Action photograph of the year
Candid photograph of the year
Overall photographer of the year
There will be trophies and prizes for the winners of the above.
There are two categories for photographer to enter
Game action
Candid photographs taken before, during or after a game of players or spectators
The details and rules are as follows:-
The competition is open to anyone who takes photographs of BBF baseball games
All entries must be from any BBF regular season and post-season game or tournament, including the London Series or from a GB Baseball tournament held at home or abroad.
All photographs must have been taken at a game held during the 2024 season
Training photos are not allowed
Entries can be black and white or colour
The deadline for submission of the weekly photographs is the Wednesday after the weekend’s games. The winner will be published with credits on the BBF Gallery https://www.britishbaseball.org.uk/bbf-galleries and social media the same week
Only photos submitted for the weekly competition will be shortlisted for the relevant Photograph of the Year.
The weekly photograph will be chosen by a panel of marketing volunteers with no conflict of interest.
The Photographs of the Year and the Photographer of the Year will be chosen by a small panel appointed by the BBF Communications and Marketing Official that will have no conflict of interest.
The competition will run from Friday 7th June until midnight on Wednesday 29th September 2024 but photographs already taken during the season can be submitted for the Annual Award.
The results will be announced on Friday 25th October 2024 with the presentation of the trophy at the BBF Annual General Meeting.

All entries must be emailed to richard.evans@britishbaseball.org.uk with Photograph of the Week in the subject by the deadlines outlined above with the following information.

Simple caption outlining the action
Candid or action
