TRACSIS to support GB Baseball U18s in 2024

Tracsis, a leading provider of software, hardware, data analytics/GIS and services for the rail, traffic data and wider transport industries, will sponsor GB Baseball U18s for the 2024 season.

The support from Tracsis will go towards helping lower income GB Baseball U18 players attend training camps and tournaments, the promotion of youth baseball across the country and team equipment.

“We are delighted to be able to support these young athletes as they continue their baseball careers within the GB National Programme,” said Chris Warrington, Tracsis’ Group Managing Director. “The coaches, staff, players and their families commit a lot of time and expense to GB Baseball and we believe our support during a European Tournament year will help them focus on success in Europe.”

The GB Baseball U18 team will take part in the WBSC European Championship in Germany from the 8th to the 14th July.

GB are in Group B alongside the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Sweden.

“Baseball is a minority sport in Great Britain and funding is hard to come by.  At the Euros, we'll face teams with budgets many times larger than our own.  This incredible support from Tracsis goes a long way towards supporting us and our players at the tournament,” said Erick Henson, manager of the GB Baseball U18s.  “I am excited about our team this year and the opportunity they have to be competitive against the best teams in Europe. This financial support will help us in that endeavour.”

GB Baseball is now ranked 18 in the World after the success of World Baseball Classic and the GB U23s qualifying for the World Cup in China and the U18s are an important part of the drive to qualify for the 2028 Olympics.

“This support is a major boost for the GB Baseball Programme and Tracsis’ commitment to help develop youth baseball in the country is extremely welcome,” said Chris Deacon, President of the British Baseball Federation. “We look forward to working with Tracsis over the coming season.”
