July Belongs to GB Baseball

The GB Baseball U18, U15 and U12 teams will all be in European action in July.

First up is the GB U12s who travel to Slovakia for the 2024 WBSC Europe European Championship Qualifier.

Their first game is against Poland at 11.00 am (GMT) on Wednesday 3rd July. The next day GB face hosts Slovakia at 5.00pm (GMT)

Games against Belgium (2.00pm GMT) and Hungary (2.00pm GMT) follow on Friday and Saturday.

Romania will be the team’s final opponents on Sunday 7th July with first pitch at 11.00am (GMT).

A first place finish will put the team into next years’s European Championships.

“July is a really big month for GB Baseball U18s, U15s and U12s as they all compete in Europe,” said Gavin Marshall, the BBF National Teams Programme Official. “All the teams have been preparing hard and I know the whole British baseball community will be behind them, willing them on to great success.”

GB U18s begin their campaign in Regensburg, Germany for the European Championship at 7.30pm (GMT) on Monday 8th July against Czechia with games against other Group B rivals Belgium, France, Netherlands and Sweden to follow..

The placement and medal games take place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July. A first or second place finish will mean the team qualifies for the next WBSC World Championships.

The following day - 15th July - in Lithuania, GB U15s face Ukraine at 9.00am (GMT) in the WBSC Europe European Championship Qualifier before facing Finland, Israel, Lithuania and Poland in the round robin.

The final will be held on Saturday 20th July and a win will mean qualification for the next European Championships≥
