British Baseball Summer Cup Returns with added GB
The second British Baseball Summer Cup returns this weekend with 300 players in 16 teams from across Great Britain fighting it out at Farnham Park.
For the first time, two GB Baseball teams will compete against British club teams, a representative team from. South West and Wales and two teams from Baseball Scotland.
GB Women will be in the Silver Mercury group competing against Birmingham Metalheads, Guildford and the Scotland Haggis Bashers.
GB Baseball U15s warm up for their July WBSC European Championships with games against Essex Baseball Club, London Mets and Newcastle Nighthawks in the Silver Steel group.
The Gold Group for NBL and AAA teams features Croydon Pirates, Essex Baseball Club, Scotland Werewolves and BC Vetra.
The Bronze Group features the Fire Breathing Kittens, London Mets, Croydon Pirates and a representative team from the South West & Wales Baseball League.
“We are absolutely delighted to see the Summer Cup back for its second year and it promises to be a real celebration of British baseball,” said BBF President Chris Deacon. “It will be thrilling to have GB Women and the GB U15s at Farnham Park to play against teams from every part of the country.”
Last year the London Mets won both the Gold and Bronze Groups with Long Eaton Storm winning the Silver Group.

The first game on Saturday starts at 9.00am with the last game starting at 16.45. The final groups games start on Sunday at 8.30am with the playoffs starting at 2.00pm.
