New 2023 Umpire Accreditation Courses Announced
A new British Baseball Federation umpiring pathway has been agreed with accredited courses starting later this month on the 25th February 2023 in Cambridge.
The first four foundation (Level 6) courses have been announced in the following areas:
BBF Foundation (Level 6) Umpiring Course, Cambridge - Saturday 25th February, 2023
BBF Foundation (Level 6) Umpiring Course, Hemel Hempstead - Sunday 12th March, 2023
BBF Foundation (Level 6) Umpiring Course, Hadlow - Sunday 2nd April, 2023
BBF Foundation (Level 6 & Level 5) Umpiring Course, Keynsham - 1-2 April, 2023

Want to request a course? Any clubs or region may request a course by contacting our Officials committee at the following email address: umpiring@britishbaseball.org.uk. Our officials committee partners with local regions and clubs to deliver courses on request.
“Umpiring is a vital part of the game and integral to its future,” said Gabor Erdos, BBF’s Umpire Director. “The new pathway is designed to increase the number of umpires and take them through an accreditation process that will enable them to umpire at the highest level they want to.”
The pathway and structure is part of the BBF’s Our Future development plan for the sport and was put together by the Federation’s officials committee.
It offers training by experienced umpires at all levels, from the Foundation courses all the way up to Level One.
