Sponsorship Manager British Baseball Federation (BBF) and Great Britain Baseball

The Great Britain National Baseball Team (GB Baseball) successfully qualified for the World Baseball Classic (WBC) in 2023 and due to on-field success will automatically take part in the 2026 competition.

GB Baseball is now becoming recognised as a world class programme and is currently ranked 20th in the world.

This year they will be participating in the 2023 European Championships.

The BBF is the governing body for baseball in Great Britain and is seeking to appoint a newly created post of Sponsorship Manager to take full advantage of emerging opportunities.

The BBF Board are all unpaid volunteers and this post will also be on a volunteer basis.

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual who will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure sponsorship agreements and partnerships to support the growth of the BBF and GB Baseball.  The primary objective of the post will be to identify, negotiate and secure sponsorships from corporate entities, businesses and individuals.

We are looking for a person who can:

• Develop a sponsorship strategy.

• Create sponsorship proposals.

• Identify potential sponsors.

• Negotiate sponsorship agreements.

Ideally you will have experience and knowledge of sports sponsorship, the sports industry and strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.  You will have an understanding of how baseball in Britain can find a market amongst patrons or sponsors who will be prepared to partner the BBF and GB Baseball in a long term relationship.  It is not an essential, but it will help if you love baseball.
