Tom Thornhill to stand down as President

Tom Thornhill, the President of the British Baseball Federation, has announced that he will step down from the role in November at the end of his two-year term.

Tom said, "Now feels like the right time for me to step aside and pave the way for a new chapter.

“Reflecting on my time in the role, I can honestly say that every moment has been incredibly fulfilling, largely due to the dedication and passion of everyone in our community.

“Our community is at its best when we are working together towards systematic change and I encouraged to see the way the community has responded to the initiatives that have been put in place.

“All of us, whether players, clubs, coaches, officials or volunteers are the Federation and it is imperative that we continue to drive and build this organisation that plays the pivotal vital role in leading the sport across the country.

“There is more to do but we have begun the process of the long-term development of the sport and I will continue to support successive Boards in whichever way I can.

“Thank you all for the support and commitment to our Board, Federation and most importantly to our unique sport of British Baseball.

“I can’t wait to see what the new chapter will holds.”
