Great Britain Announces 2026 World Baseball Classic Roster & Staff

Major League Baseball revealed the rosters for all 20 participating teams, including Great Britain, in the 2026 World Baseball Classic on Thursday, 5 February as part of a special episode of MLB Tonight on MLB Network. Great Britain will play in their second consecutive World Baseball Classic, beginning on 6 March against Mexico in Houston, Texas.

“This is a talented, exciting roster that will represent Great Britain with pride at the World Baseball Classic,” said Manager Bradley Marcelino. “I’m proud to have Jazz and Harry leading this group as co-captains – they bring the energy and competitiveness that define this team. We’ve assembled a world-class coaching staff around them, and we’re ready for the challenge ahead. This team is all in and ready to compete on the world stage this March.”

The players who will represent Great Britain at the 2026 World Baseball Classic are below – players currently in MLB organisations are listed with their organisation in brackets, and players with Major League experience are in bold:

Jazz Chisholm Jr. – suiting up for Great Britain for the first time in 10 years – and Harry Ford will serve as the team’s captains. Great Britain’s roster features 11 returning players from the 2023 World Baseball Classic team (Benoit, Fernander, Ford, Long, Murray, Petersen, Seppings, Thompson, Viza, Ward, Worley). 13 members of the roster (Anderson, B. Beck, T. Beck, Eaton, Fox, Gill Hill, Johnson, Knowles, Langhorne, Lewis Jr, Robinson, Victor) will make their debut at the senior level for Great Britain.

Great Britain will hold a preparation and training camp in Phoenix, Arizona, hosted by the Milwaukee Brewers, prior to the World Baseball Classic, including two exhibition games – 3 March against the Brewers in Phoenix and 4 March against the San Diego Padres in Peoria. The World Baseball Classic is sanctioned by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) as the sport’s official National Team World Championship.
