Welcome to the British Baseball Federation (“BBF”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you interact with:

3. Payment Information

When you pay fees, shop or book events, we redirect you to trusted third-party payment processors. We do not store your card/banking details ourselves. Providers include PayPal, The Baseball & Softball Shop, Sage Accounting, Baseball Outlet, Teamo, etc. Each has its own privacy policy and terms.


We use your info only with your consent, for purposes like:

  • Delivering services you’ve requested (league registration, events)
  • Maintaining membership records & participation stats
  • Running competitions, tournaments & insurance (accident reporting)
  • Managing recruitment for BBF roles & volunteer posts
  • Sending important updates about your bookings or account
  • Emailing newsletters & marketing (only if you’ve opted in; unsubscribe anytime)
  • Improving our Website & programs based on your feedback
  • Conducting surveys (often anonymised; aggregated for reporting)

5. What’s Publicly Visible

Depending on your activity, others may see:

  • Your name in news articles, game reports, forum posts
  • Comments you choose to post

You’re in control—just contact us if you’d rather keep your name or photo private.


6. Use of Images

  • Profile photos: viewable by admins and team members.
  • Event photos: may appear in articles or social media.
  • Removal requests: we’ll take down any images upon request.

7. Engaging on Social Media

When you interact with our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc., your posts follow those platforms’ privacy settings/terms. We’re not responsible for third-party practices—please check their policies.


8. Data Security

  • Only authorised BBF staff can access your data.
  • No spyware/adware is used by BBF or our partners.

9. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies (including Google Analytics) to:

  • Recognise you on return visits
  • Save your preferences
  • Enable key site functions
  • Monitor performance & analytics

You can control or disable cookies in your browser.


10. Sharing with Third Parties

We never sell your personal data. We share limited info with:

  • Service providers (e.g. Google Analytics, survey platforms, payment gateways) under strict confidentiality
  • Law enforcement if required by law (e.g. fraud investigation)

  • Account data: kept as long as you remain a member so rosters and stats stay accurate.
  • Mailing lists: until you unsubscribe or we retire the list.
  • Forms & surveys: retained for 12 months, then deleted or archived securely—unless we need to keep parts of it for legal or operational reasons.
