BBF name British Lions U16 squad for the 2026 Babe Ruth 13–16 World Series

The British Baseball Federation (BBF) is proud to announce the British Lions squad for the 2026 Babe Ruth 13–16 (U16) World Series, to be played at Ballparks of America in Branson, Missouri, from 5th to 15th August 2026.

The 18-strong squad brings together players from clubs across the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and the Bahamas, supported by a six-person coaching staff. All of the team’s games will be live-streamed via the Babe Ruth World Series broadcast, so family, friends, and British baseball fans can follow the action from home.

“It is an exciting time for every player selected to represent the BBF Lions at the 75th Anniversary Babe Ruth World Series. Having the opportunity to compete on one of the biggest stages in youth baseball is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment shown by each athlete and the strength of our player development pathway,” said Lions Head Coach Ian Griebenow.

“The experience this group of players will gain, both on and off the field, will be invaluable in their baseball pathway. Competing against some of the best young players from around the world provides a unique opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence, and create lifelong memories and friendships,” he continued.

“International competition is an essential part of player development. It challenges athletes to perform in different environments, adapt to new situations, and grow as both baseball players and young people. As a coaching staff, we are incredibly proud of this group and look forward to watching them continue their baseball pathway with pride, passion, and professionalism, while representing the BBF Lions, their families, and their home clubs with distinction.”
