The Great Britain U-12 team is en route to France to compete in the WBSC U-12 European Baseball Championship.

Coached by Lee Manning, the 19-player squad features talented young athletes from Birmingham Goats, Brighton Baseball Club, Bristol Bolts, Cambridge Atomsmashers, Croydon Parrots, Dirtbags LL, Edinburgh Giants, Fleet Park LL, Herts, London Archers and Oxford Owls.

The tournament will be played at Pharaons Field in Évry-Courcouronnes, with Great Britain competing in Group A. GB opens its round-robin campaign on Tuesday, 7 July, against the host nation, France, before taking on Czechia on Wednesday and Germany on Thursday.

Following the group stage, the tournament moves into the placement games, which will be played on Friday, 10 July, and Saturday, 11 July, as teams battle for their final standings.

“I’m incredibly honoured to be leading this talented group of young athletes as we head to the European Championships in Paris.” Said Lee

“Every player on this roster has worked tirelessly to earn their place, with many proudly making their Great Britain debut. We’re excited for the challenge ahead and can’t wait to represent our country on the international stage.”
