The BBF and GB Baseball are delighted to announce the appointment of Luc Chignell as the new Operations Manager of the GB U12 programme, with immediate effect.
For almost a decade, Luc has been the driving force behind the University of Nottingham BUCS Baseball organisation. The programme has qualified for every National Championship since its inception and Luc has been pivotal in building a solid structure of coaches and student management to help bring about consistent success. He has also spent time with the Hill County Christian School baseball programme in Austin, TX. Chignell has more recently, taken the UoN team on tour in Nettuno, Italy gaining some valuable first hand experience of European competition.
By day, Luc is a Barrister, demanding a high degree of organisation and integrity within his role. GB Baseball’s Director of Operations, Craig Savage said he is “delighted to appoint someone of Luc’s standing to the programme”. Savage also added that“Luc is the type of staff member that we need going forward, in order to help bring about the necessary change to the organisational landscape that is required, as GB Baseball enters a new era, operationally”.
