Great Britain Women’s National Team Roster Announced for WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Qualifiers

The British Baseball Federation and Great Britain Baseball are proud to announce the final roster for the Great Britain Women’s National Team ahead of the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Qualifiers in Tainan.

The squad comprises:

  • Betheliza Dela Paz – Birmingham Baseball Club
  • Caitlin Frank – Essex Baseball Club
  • Claury Scatliffe – British Virgin Islands
  • Dani Briggs – Bournemouth Bears
  • Darier Malone – British Virgin Islands
  • Ella Henson – London Mets
  • Gabriella Sassoli – London Mets
  • Jess Hastings – Birmingham Baseball Club
  • Jess Vernon – Guildford Baseball Club
  • Kath Armstrong – Herts Baseball Club
  • Laura Bailes – Manchester Baseball Club
  • Laura Hirai – London Mets / Boston
  • Meg Rollins – Birmingham Baseball Club
  • Oona Ylinen – Essex Baseball Club
  • Sam Rahman – Manchester Baseball Club
  • Saskia Davies – Cardiff Merlins
  • Stella Veski – Essex Baseball Club

As Europe’s sole representative in the tournament, Great Britain will face Japan, Venezuela, Chinese Taipei, Cuba and a wildcard team in the group stage as they seek qualification for the 2027 WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup.

On the final roster selection GB Women’s National Team Head Coach Pietro Sollecito said:

“Congratulations to every player selected to represent Great Britain at the 2026 Women’s Baseball World Cup Qualifiers in Tainan, as well as to our reserve players. This achievement is the result of your dedication, commitment, and countless hours of hard work.

The level of talent, professionalism, and determination throughout our programme continues to grow, and each of you has played an important role in that progress. Your efforts are not only helping to raise the standard of our national team but are also serving as an inspiration for the future of British baseball.

We are proud of what we’ve accomplished together so far, and we look forward to the challenge ahead. Let’s keep up the great work and continue building something special for Great Britain Baseball.”

The tournament will take place from 23-27 August at the ASPAC Alternate Field, part of the Asia-Pacific International Baseball Stadiums and Training Centres complex in Annan District, Tainan City, Taiwan.

“It is a fantastic achievement for the Great Britain women’s national team to not only win European gold but now take their place at the WBSC World Cup qualifiers,” said Richard Evans, President of the British Baseball Federation. “It is a real tribute to the commitment, skill and hard work all GB players and staff have put in over the past couple of years and I know the whole British baseball community will be supporting them every step of the way.”

Great Britain enters the tournament looking to continue the growth of women’s baseball across the UK and secure a place at the 2027 WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup. The qualification event will bring together some of the strongest programmes in international women’s baseball, providing a significant opportunity for the GB Women’s National Team to showcase its continued development on the world stage.
