Great Britain U15 delivered a comprehensive team performance to record a 17–2 victory over Sweden in Game Three of their tour, building on the momentum gained from a narrow one-run win in the previous fixture.

From the opening pitch, Great Britain played with purpose combining productive offence, disciplined pitching and solid defence to secure their most convincing result of the tour so far.

The GB offense was effective throughout the game, with contributions coming from across the batting order. Jake Beatty led the way with a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate, driving in one run and reaching base in every at-bat. Jeremy Kirk continued his strong tournament with two hits, including a double and a triple, while Matt Johnson added a triple and drove in two runs.

Lloyd Kirby once again made an impact in key situations, recording a hit and two RBIs, while Elliott Altberger also contributed two RBIs. Stevie Guillet added a hit as Great Britain continued to generate scoring opportunities throughout the line-up.

On the mound, Hugo Esperon Beade set the tone with three scoreless innings, striking out two batters and limiting Sweden’s opportunities to build momentum. Chi Hong Wong followed with two effective innings, allowing just one earned run as Great Britain maintained control of the contest.

Jake Beatty earned Player of the Game honours after a flawless day at the plate. His 3-for-3 performance, combined with an RBI and a perfect on-base record, provided a spark for the GB offence and helped set the platform for the victory. His debut performance behind home plate was highlighted by Head Coach Ian Griebenow, who recognised his overall impact on the game and the example he set for his teammates throughout the contest.

He [Jake] should be very proud of his contribution today, and his performance reflected the hard work he continues to put into his game.

Griebenow continued praising the team’s approach and collective effort following the victory.

“I’m incredibly proud of the way the boys approached today’s game. Coming off a narrow victory in the previous game, we knew Sweden would come out ready to compete, and our players responded from the very first pitch.

“What has impressed me most throughout this tour is the character they continue to show and the way they compete for one another. We’re seeing real growth as a team every day, and performances like this are a positive sign for the future of our programme.

“Credit to the Swedish team for competing hard throughout the series. I’m proud of every player on our roster and the overall contribution that led to this result.”

The victory continues a positive tour for Great Britain U15, with the squad showing development on both sides of the ball while gaining valuable international experience.

With contributions throughout the roster and increasing confidence as a group, the team will look to carry this momentum into the remaining games of the tour.
